Treating breast cancer — part 1
Aug 31st
Your surgeon will always remove an area of healthy breast tissue around the cancer, which will be tested for traces of cancer. If there is no cancer present in the healthy tissue, there is less chance that the cancer will recur. If you are treated as an outpatient, you should aim to gain an average of 0.5 kg a week. Most people can achieve this by eating around 3,500 to 7,000 extra calories each week.
